DOMESTIC PERFORMANCE VALVES

SBI DOMESTIC PERFORMANCE VALVES have been designed and constructed with special features that improve their operational performance over regular stock valves. These features and their benefits are described below.

ONE PIECE 21-4N STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION - Provides strength and corrosion resistance during high temperature operation.

HARDENED STEM TIPS - Withstand high impact forces from performance valve train setups.

TAPERED STEM EXHAUST VALVES - Allow for higher operating temperatures without stem galling; reduce oil consumption by maintaining consistent stem clearance at operating temperatures.

CHROME STEMS - All stems are hard-chromed for wear protection and galling resistance.

SWIRL POLISHED AND FULLY MACHINED SURFACES - Improves gas flow for optimum performance.

UNDERCUT STEMS - All valve stems are undercut to reduce weight and improve gas flow.

CONSISTENT VALVE HEAD SHAPES - Provide the same volume in the combustion chamber regardless of valve head diameter.

All SBI DOMESTIC PERFORMANCE VALVES feature single groove designs. Longer stems are available for popular applications. It is recommended that these valves are installed with .002 inch MINIMUM stem-to-guide clearance.

SPORT COMPACT PERFORMANCE VALVES

S. B. International is now introducing performance valves for popular sport compact engine applications. Our exhaust valves are engineered from a special high-strength alloy (except where other material is noted, such as Inconel), which provides high strength and corrosion resistance during high temperatures associated with turbo, nitrous, and supercharged engines. In addition, the head diameter of our exhaust valves is 1/2 mm (0.020 inch) larger than the OEM replacement valve for improved air flow. Our intake valves are engineered from a high-chromium alloy, which provides high strength and corrosion resistance. In addition, the head diameter our intake valves is 1 mm (0.039 inch) larger than the OEM replacement for improved air flow.

HARDENED STEM TIPS - All stem tips are hardened through valve lock groove to withstand high impact forces inherent in performance valve train configurations.

CHROME STEM - All stems are hard-chromed for wear protection and galling resistance.

SWIRL POLISHED - All valve heads are swirl polished to improve gas flow for optimum performance. In addition all valve head faces are machined for consistency.

VALVE LOCK GROOVE - All valve lock grooves are same design as the OEM valve, which allows use of standard OEM valve locks.
